Community Standards: Integrity and Authenticity

To ensure a secure, respectful, equitable, and reliable marketplace, Bosswork is actively implementing measures to safeguard the integrity of our platform and the authenticity of our users. Any deliberate attempts to exploit platform tools and features will result in the permanent suspension of the offending user accounts.

Account Integrity
Multiple Accounts

To engage in buying or selling services on Bosswork, users are permitted to maintain only a single account. The creation of multiple accounts is deemed misleading to others and is considered a violation of our system's integrity. Such actions can result in the permanent suspension of any accounts involved. This rule is specific to individual user accounts. However, an exception exists for maintaining both a seller account and an additional seat within the framework of one Team Account.

The following activities are prohibited, including but not limited to, to ensure fair usage:
•    Seeking an unfair competitive edge
•    Using the messaging or ordering systems to harass or mislead others
•    Engaging in fraudulent practices
•    Misusing the Bosswork Referral program
•    Attempting to circumvent the restrictions or permanent suspension of an earlier account
•    Breaching Bosswork's Terms of Service or Community Standards in any way or manipulating the system

It is imperative not to share authentic credentials, such as personal email, payment information, or phone numbers, that could be exploited to create additional accounts on your behalf.

Unauthorized Identity Use
Creating accounts that falsely represent another person or organization is strictly forbidden. The following actions are not permitted:
• Utilizing a fictitious name, gender, photo, or providing any false or made-up biographical information in your user profile
• Submitting counterfeit documents when identity verification is requested
• Employing AI-generated images/videos to establish or verify a Bosswork account with the intent to impersonate someone else or mislead about one's identity
• Fabricating or utilizing an account to deliberately alter one's identity, aiming to mislead or deceive individuals
• Leveraging automated tools to falsify your real location
• Creating a Bosswork profile using personal details or credentials belonging to someone else

Sharing personal credentials (e.g., email, payment details, phone number) that could be exploited to fabricate accounts in your name is strongly discouraged. Bosswork retains the authority to permanently deactivate any accounts that are found to falsify identity.

Deceptive Representation
Deceptive representation refers to fraudulent, careless, or unintentional falsehoods, or conveying incomplete details of a significant fact.

Prohibited Actions on Bosswork:
•    Providing inaccurate or deceptive information in your profile description, professional profile, skills section, career history, and/or education.
•    Featuring a Bosswork contrator badge, contrator level, or any star-rating references in your Service images, contrator intro video, profile picture, or any elements associated with your Service.
•    Replicating Service descriptions, packages, and/or any content from another user's Service listing, their profile page, or professional profile.
•    Altering the price of your Service in private messages before or after a purchase is made. Engaging in bait-and-switch marketing tactics is strictly forbidden.
•    Allowing another individual to represent you in your Service or professional profile without clearly disclosing their identity. Posting any content in a Service description, user profile, and/or professional profile that you do not have the rights to use.
•    Including 'Bosswork' in any part of your username or display name, impersonating our employees with an intent to deceive or mislead users, or conducting other forms of prohibited activities.

Inauthentic Behavior and Spam:
Spam on Bosswork is defined as any messaging activity that is unsolicited, persistently occurring, and disruptive to the recipient's experience. Spam can manifest in various ways, such as unwanted offers or commercially-driven solicitations that seek to redirect traffic or attention to external websites, products, and services outside of Bosswork.

Prohibited Activities:
1.    Avoid using our communication systems to send unsolicited or misleading messages.
2.    Do not distribute malicious software, phishing attempts, or other hazardous content via Bosswork's communication tools.
3.    Refrain from utilizing artificial means or automated processes, like software, scripts, or bots, to send bulk messages.
4.    Do not reach out to Bosswork users with offers, inquiries, suggestions, or any content unrelated to their Services, requests, or orders.
5.    Avoid asking other users for guidance on starting a selling path on Bosswork through our communication channels.
6.    Do not send direct messages aimed at promoting your services or specific Services to clients.
7.    Refrain from asking for donations or free work.

Engaging in such activities compromises the integrity of our platform and infringes on user privacy, potentially causing harm. Should you encounter spam, please report it immediately.

Feedback Integrity:
Buyer reviews are a crucial aspect of Bosswork's rating system. They reflect the quality of services delivered by contractors, showcasing their professional skills, experience, and client satisfaction. Thus, it is vital that reviews remain genuine and trustworthy to uphold a reliable and esteemed marketplace.

Prohibited Actions:
•    Do not attempt to alter the review system to falsely portray information about a contrator or their service, whether as a client or contrator.
•    Avoid giving intentionally misleading or unsolicited feedback.
•    Refrain from buying or selling services with the sole purpose of artificially boosting ratings or levels.
•    Do not pressure clients to modify or remove their reviews from the platform.
•    Avoid pushing clients to provide a 5-star rating or more favorable feedback than they are willing to offer.
•    Do not withhold service delivery or necessary information to complete a service to secure positive reviews.
•    Do not coerce contractors to provide additional services or make changes not covered in the original order by threatening negative feedback.

Any form of review manipulation is strictly forbidden and can lead to the permanent suspension of all associated accounts. This includes any direct or indirect manipulation of reviews through the submission of false, misleading, or inauthentic content, placing strategic orders to falsely inflate contrator ratings, or abusing the platform by making purchases from multiple accounts. If you suspect any feedback manipulation or other violations of these policies, please report it promptly.
 
Abuse Reporting Protocol
At Bosswork, we prioritize the well-being of our community members and strive to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and secure environment for all. We strongly encourage our users to utilize our reporting mechanisms when encountering behavior that is not acceptable. However, we request that these tools not be misused for unfounded complaints.

Please refrain from:
•    Misusing Bosswork's reporting tools, lodging unwarranted complaints with Customer Support, or abusing the appeals process with baseless, targeted, or frivolous claims
•    Submitting multiple reports for the same issue without allowing time for a response from our Trust and Safety team
Bosswork retains the right to disregard multiple invalid reports and to flag accounts engaged in such activities.

Referral Program Misuse
Through the Bosswork Referral Program, you have the opportunity to earn rewards for both yourself and your friends who join Bosswork via your invitation. Abuse of the referral program, such as when accounts are created solely to manipulate the system and refer one another for bonuses, is not permitted.

You should not:
•    Create fake accounts to gain referral bonuses
•    Attempt to manipulate or exploit the referral program

Bosswork reserves authority to permanently suspend accounts involved in breaches of the Referral Program guidelines.

Platform Manipulation
Improper actions aimed at manipulating Bosswork's platform tools and systems are inconsistent with our core values and detrimental to our community's integrity. To cultivate a fair and respected marketplace, we ask that you refrain from attempting to circumvent our policies, which are designed to uphold trust and quality within the platform and marketplace.

Exclusive Content Guidelines: Our policy encompasses various practices that we strictly prohibit, such as:
•    Engaging in a pattern of frequent cancellations
•    Utilizing the delivery function to send incomplete, partial, or empty deliveries
•    Submitting multiple requests regarding the same issue without allowing our Customer Support team adequate time to respond

Accessing the platform through unauthorized means, manipulating the Bosswork ranking system, generating false web traffic for Services, attempting to buy or sell Bosswork accounts, extracting data illegally from the platform, or compromising the security and integrity of our marketplace are activities that are expressly forbidden.

Transactions Outside of the Platform
At Bosswork, we prioritize creating a secure, open, and trustworthy environment for our community. To ensure the protection of both clients and contractors, all transactions are required to occur within the Bosswork platform. This policy ensures comprehensive security measures, such as secure payment processing, dispute resolution services, adherence to community guidelines, and effective fraud prevention.
 
Utilizing the Bosswork platform significantly enhances a contrator's visibility and reputation. Through Bosswork's comprehensive tools, contractors can cultivate lasting relationships with repeat clients and secure more substantial, high-value projects. To ensure efficient communication, Bosswork provides integrated tools like video calls, which enable contractors to fully understand and meet client expectations, thereby delivering an exceptional service experience.

Engaging in activities outside the Bosswork platform can amplify risks such as:
•    Fraud and scams: Conducting transactions independently makes it easier for fraudulent individuals to exploit clients or contractors.
•    Privacy breaches: Personal and financial details shared outside Bosswork face insufficient protection.
•    Limited recourse: In the event of issues such as cancellations or disputes, Bosswork is unable to assist or defend users managing business outside the platform.

By maintaining your business operations within Bosswork, you benefit from enhanced security measures, ensuring the safety of your account and transactions.
 
Revised Content: It is strictly forbidden to:
•    Engage in or accept any form of payment outside of Bosswork. All financial transactions must occur through the platform to guarantee comprehensive protection.
•    Attempt to bypass or encourage others to bypass Bosswork's payment system. Off-platform transactions with Bosswork members are not permitted.
•    Redirect clients or contractors to other platforms. This includes suggesting alternative payment methods or external contractual agreements.
•    Exchange personal contact information, such as email addresses, phone numbers, or third-party messaging applications, solely for the purpose of conducting business outside of Bosswork.

Conducting transactions off-platform constitutes a direct violation of Bosswork's Terms of Service. This behavior contravenes the payment agreement, which includes the service fees outlined by Bosswork. Users found in breach of this policy may face permanent suspension of their accounts.

To maintain a secure and transparent marketplace, users are encouraged to report any efforts to move business off-platform. Reports submitted will be directly reviewed by Bosswork's Trust & Safety team for a comprehensive evaluation.
 

Content Guidelines: Restricted and Unapproved Services
Bosswork functions as a dynamic marketplace where individuals can offer or seek a wide range of services. Nonetheless, there are specific types of services that we restrict due to various concerns. Some services might present unwanted risks to our users, such as those related to privacy or finances; others conflict with our core values and policies.

It is important to understand that the examples provided below are not exhaustive. We reserve the right to modify the list of restricted or unapproved services as needed. Additionally, should we identify a new risk or harmful activity not specifically mentioned here, we may take measures to address violations that align with the underlying principles of this policy.
 
Compliance with Legal and Ethical Standards
At Bosswork, we prioritize adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. Users are strictly prohibited from offering or seeking any services that involve illegal activities or that support or facilitate unlawful conduct. Violations of this policy will result in the permanent suspension of user accounts. To ensure a safe community, Bosswork is committed to actively enforcing this policy and addressing any illicit activities or behaviors on our platform. If you encounter any listings that appear to breach these standards, we encourage you to report them immediately. Furthermore, Bosswork reserves the right to notify law enforcement authorities about any illegal activities.

Restricted Services
Protecting our users is of utmost importance, and we do not permit any services or engagements that could potentially harm individuals, property, or animals, whether directly or indirectly. This includes actions that may cause physical harm, pose societal risks, jeopardize rights and freedoms, and more.

Users must refrain from offering, agreeing to provide, or seeking services that are intended to cause harm, including, but not limited to, the following:
•    Promoting or facilitating access to prohibited or risky goods such as firearms, ammunition, drugs, and controlled substances, or encouraging others to engage in their production, use, or distribution.
•    Involvement in any form of abuse, exploitation of humans (including sexual exploitation), or human trafficking.
•    Producing or altering false or misleading documents, such as IDs, passports, driver’s licenses, bank statements, death or birth certificates, and similar official documents.
•    Content that glorifies or incites violence, or any criminal or harmful behavior towards individuals, groups, or animals.
•    Intentions to create or promote fake news and misinformation.
•    Offering licensed professional services without the necessary certifications or qualifications, such as legal counsel, financial, or tax advice.
•    Attempts to hack or breach any systems (accounts, profiles, networks, etc.) to gain unauthorized access to sensitive personal, financial, or institutional information.
•    Engaging in or contributing to activities that pose information security risks to individuals, entities, or governmental bodies, including DDOS attacks, doxxing, impersonation, distribution of malware, phishing, and other hacking techniques.
User accounts found in violation of these policies will face permanent suspension.
 
At Bosswork, the financial security of our users is paramount, and we are committed to safeguarding their sensitive financial information. We firmly prohibit any services that could jeopardize our users' financial data.

Users must not offer, agree to provide, or request services that require access to another individual's sensitive financial details, such as:
•    Creating, managing, or altering any type of financial account
•    Engaging in loan issuance, currency or cryptocurrency trading, binary options, or any form of financial instrument trading
•    Cryptocurrency mining activities
•    Modifying or attempting to erase negative entries from credit scores or credit histories for individuals, entities, or government bodies, alongside any credit repair services
•    Offering trading signals, indicators, or pre-prepared trading strategies
Respecting Third-party Terms of Service: A third party refers to entities or individuals other than Bosswork who may be indirectly involved in the services you offer or request. As part of the Bosswork community, we expect you to honor the broader Internet community by adhering to the terms of service (TOS) of other platforms and companies.

Members should not offer, agree to provide, or request services that could potentially violate a third party's TOS. We advise contractors to familiarize themselves with the TOS of any third parties related to the services they plan to provide. Clients should also avoid requesting or ordering services that might breach a third party's TOS. Bosswork maintains the right to take appropriate actions against users who violate any third-party terms of service.
 
Bosswork is committed to upholding the integrity of intellectual property (IP) rights in alignment with various legal standards and our dedication to safeguarding the creative efforts of our community. Consequently, any services infringing on the IP rights of individuals or businesses are strictly prohibited. We actively take action against providers or requesters of such services to maintain a secure environment for our creatives. In addition, to ensure a trustworthy community and prevent fraudulent practices, Bosswork bans services designed to mislead, manipulate, or disseminate false or unauthentic content. Members are urged not to offer, negotiate, or seek any services intended to deceive, such as:

Deepfakes: These include any extensively altered videos, photos, or audio recordings that modify the sequence, composition, or original audio in a way that fundamentally changes their original meaning, understanding, or context, even if these alterations are accomplished using generative AI tools. The creation of deepfakes on our platform is strictly forbidden due to the significant risk of misinformation propagation, non-consensual content, and potential illegal activities.
Fake Reviews: This pertains to any review that fails to be an honest, impartial opinion or that does not authentically reflect a genuine experience with a product, service, or business. Reviews, whether positive, negative, or neutral, that fall under this category are not allowed.
Fake Engagement or Traffic: Engaging in or using methods like bots, click farms, or other illegitimate techniques to artificially increase followers, views, likes, fans, or traffic is prohibited. Such activities violate third-party terms of service and compromise the trust and integrity of our platform. Account holders breaching these policies will face permanent suspension.
 
Assurance of Financial or Personal Advantages
Any assurances of financial gain or personal outcomes that fall outside a seller's control are prohibited, particularly if they involve exaggerated or unrealistic claims about what a buyer might achieve by using a seller's services.

This prohibition includes, but is not limited to, guarantees or assurances concerning:
•    Reestablishing a client's access to online platforms such as Amazon, Facebook, or eBay
•    Precise earnings or specific returns on investments
•    Successes, advancement, in-game currency, or profits in any gaming or application context
•    Outcomes related to medical treatment or healing, or claims of mind control

Academic and Workplace Integrity
Bosswork firmly opposes any form of academic or workplace dishonesty. This includes commissioning tasks intended to be submitted as an individual's original work. As such, Bosswork does not condone services that complete assignments, quizzes, or job application tasks that should be performed independently.

We expect all users to adhere to the honor codes or internal policies of their respective academic institutions or workplaces when seeking academic or professional services. We stress the importance of upholding academic and workplace ethics, as well as relevant conduct guidelines, and we are dedicated to fostering academic and professional integrity.

Bosswork does not support activities that compromise the authenticity, honesty, and ethical standards of academic or professional processes.

Do not advertise, agree to provide, or request the completion of homework, examinations, tests, job application tasks, or any assignments meant to be done without external aid.

Bosswork is committed to safeguarding privacy rights, particularly when services involve sharing third-party personal information. To uphold this commitment, we mandate that the data submitted for applicable services is specific to each task and exclusively comprises business-related information. We strictly prohibit offering, consenting to provide, or requesting services that violate third-party rights, which can result in unsolicited contact with individuals. This includes:
•    Sharing personal data such as email addresses, phone numbers, etc.
•    Distributing premade lists containing personal data
•    Harvesting information from social media platforms
•    Sharing confidential information such as social security numbers, identification documents, credit card details, physical addresses, and more.

Regarding medical-related services, Bosswork prioritizes the safety of its community and thus prohibits any services aimed at providing medical treatment, advice, or supplies, concerning both physical and mental health. You are not permitted to offer or solicit medical-related services, such as:
•    Medical treatments, advice on medical conditions, or pharmaceutical counsel
•    Medical drugs, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or pharmaceutical supplies
•    Documentation or evidence intended to deceive others about medical status fraudulently, like counterfeit test results
•    Services claiming to heal, prevent, or treat ailments like cancer, diabetes, eating disorders, depression, COVID-19, or any other health condition, including emotional therapy
•    Creating medical, scientific, or informational content solely on COVID-19 that could spread misinformation
•    Crafting or endorsing fake news related to COVID-19

Our Bosswork catalog is constantly updated to reflect the dynamic digital landscape, and we strive to ensure it includes services that meet current market demands. Consequently, we may periodically modify our catalog and discontinue services. Should your offering be among those services no longer available, we will inform you about the removal of your Service. This change presents an opportunity to revamp your offerings, aligning them with what potential clients are actively seeking.
 

Community Guidelines: Inappropriate Content and User Protection
Adult Material and Sexual Conduct
Bosswork maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards adult and sexually explicit material of any form. Upon detection or report, such material will be promptly removed, and those involved may face permanent suspension from the platform. These guidelines are applicable to all user-generated content (UGC), including Services, submissions, portfolios, Service videos, and more. This encompasses any content featuring nudity, as well as sexually graphic, violent, or degrading actions or scenes, including AI-generated visuals or animations.

Refrain from offering, agreeing to provide, or soliciting:
•    Nude or adult-themed images or videos
•    Sexual encounters or partners
•    Sex conversations or explicit chats
•    Non-consensual material of any kind
•    Practices of sextortion, such as threatening to disclose private sexual material for blackmail
•    Any content involving or resembling children in a sexual context
•    Depictions of sexual violence or denigration
•    Sexually suggestive modeling
•    Enactments of fetish scenarios
•    Content that portrays explicit sexual activity, except under conditions specified in the "documentary exception" outlined below

All the aforementioned, whether genuine or AI-produced, are strictly forbidden.
Content that is sexually explicit and features minors, as well as any material aiming to exploit minors sexually—including AI-created content—is categorically prohibited on Bosswork. Such material, legally termed as Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), will be immediately reported, along with the individuals responsible for creating, offering, or soliciting such content, to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which collaborates with global law enforcement agencies.

Bosswork reserves the right to exercise broad discretion in removing content involving minors. User accounts found to be in violation of this guideline risk permanent suspension.
 
Documentary Exception
Bosswork permits nudity when its primary purpose serves educational, scientific, or artistic objectives, and it is not excessive. For instance, a video produced by a midwife to demonstrate proper breastfeeding technique is deemed acceptable. In contrast, creating a video using clips from the same film for sexual gratification is not permissible. Nudity presented out of context from indigenous communities, protests, medical procedures, childbirth, artistic performances, breastfeeding, or similar scenarios may not align with our documentary exception criteria.

Hate Speech and Discrimination
Hate Speech
Bosswork characterizes hate speech as content designed to provoke violence or animosity towards individuals or groups based on their actual or assumed attributes, which may encompass race, skin color, ethnicity, sexual identity, gender identity, marital status, religion, age, or disability.
Hate speech can manifest in the form of threatening, derogatory, or dehumanizing language, the use of ethnic or racial slurs, or as content that endorses or glorifies hateful ideologies and conduct.

Bosswork is dedicated to promptly and decisively investigating any behavior reported or identified as hate speech. Our response will be in alignment with both our Terms of Service and the core values of the company. We regard violations of hate speech policies with utmost seriousness, and we reserve extensive discretion in taking action against any users or content that breach this policy.
 
Prohibited Conduct:
•    Refrain from using language that is violent or dehumanizing towards individuals or groups based on actual or perceived attributes such as race, ethnicity, skin color, sexual identity, gender identity, marital status, religion, age, or disability.
•    Avoid using ethnic or racial slurs.
•    Do not engage in hate speech directed at any community member, group, Bosswork's Customer Support representatives, or the company itself.
•    Do not offer, agree to, or request content that involves hate speech.
•    Do not express support for or glorify hate groups, their members, actions, or ideologies.
•    Do not upload or share content on Bosswork's platform (including profile pages, Service descriptions, profession pages, portfolio projects, forum threads, messages, briefs, etc.) that includes hate imagery or symbols such as swastikas, hand gestures, or numbers associated with hateful or discriminatory ideologies.

Permitted Activities:
Users are allowed to engage with content aimed at:
•    Conducting research or raising awareness about hate speech.
•    Preventing the occurrence of hate speech.

Understanding Discrimination:
Bosswork defines discrimination as any unfair or unequal treatment based on real or perceived characteristics, such as race, skin color, ethnicity, sexual identity, gender identity, marital status, religion, age, or disability. Moreover, treating individuals preferentially, based on unrelated traits or characteristics to the service, potentially depriving others of opportunities on the platform, may also be considered discriminatory.

Prohibited Acts:
•    Do not refuse to engage with individuals or groups based on real or perceived characteristics such as race, skin color, ethnicity, sexual identity, gender identity, marital status, religion, age, or disability.
•    Do not offer, agree to, or request content that expresses or endorses discriminatory ideas, supports groups with such ideologies, involves group members, or actions that glorify these views.
If you encounter conduct or content that seems to breach this policy, please report it. Bosswork will assess claims of discrimination individually, and accounts found in violation of this policy may face permanent suspension.
 
Harassment and Abusive Conduct
Bosswork is committed to maintaining a respectful and safe environment for all users. We strictly prohibit any form of inappropriate behavior or communication that could be perceived as harassment. This policy encompasses, but is not limited to:
• Bullying • Unwanted sexual advances 
• Offensive remarks or actions 
• Discrimination based on actual or perceived attributes such as race, skin color, ethnicity, sexual identity, gender identity, marital status, religion, age, or disability

While interacting on Bosswork, do not:
• Solicit sexual interactions 
• Pose inappropriate personal questions 
• Initiate sexual advances or imply sexual intent 
• Use profane, vulgar, or derogatory language 
• Engage in offensive or culturally insensitive language 
• Share harassing or disturbing content

Additionally, contractors must maintain the confidentiality of clients' information, including any personal data, and are forbidden from disclosing it to third parties unless explicitly agreed upon with the client. Any breach of privacy or confidentiality can result in permanent account suspension.

Self-Harm and Suicide
At Bosswork, the well-being and safety of our community are of utmost importance. Users must refrain from offering, accepting, or soliciting any content that depicts, glorifies, or encourages suicide or other self-harming behaviors, including eating disorders.

If you encounter someone expressing suicidal thoughts or engaging in self-harm, it is crucial to contact local authorities without delay and report the situation to us.

If you are experiencing emotional distress or have thoughts of suicide or self-harm, we strongly encourage you to seek immediate help.
